Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Consultant to join our team at The Openwork Partnership. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of assurance oversight and reducing consumer harm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and report quality, trends, themes, emerging risks, and behavioural indicators.
  • Identify opportunities for improved efficiencies and to strengthen regulatory controls.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and oversight across Openwork and 2plan entities within the COO function to support the delivery of effective control management across AR monitoring activity.
  • Undertake a variety of governance, monitoring, and assurance activities, including supporting compliance-based audits and risk assessments focused on systems and controls across operational functions.
  • Educate and escalate effectively, making suggestions for action, and implementing solutions, to keep The Openwork Partnership safe and reduce consumer harm.
  • Display an understanding of end-to-end business processes, procedures, and systems (across operational functions) to ensure the implications of change are fully understood and communicated.
  • Support projects and initiatives as required, assisting with internal/external audits and oversight.
  • Regularly review policies and standards to ensure they are up-to-date and fit for purpose.
  • Collaborate with business functions to document governance frameworks and processes, as needed.
  • Attend relevant groups/committees, as required.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in a similar role in financial services.
  • Qualified to Diploma Level (preferred or working towards).
  • Knowledge of FCA legislation, particularly TCF and Data Protection.
  • Understanding of The Openwork Partnership assurance model, risk/control frameworks, governance, and regulatory controls.
  • Good market, risk, and business awareness.
  • Knowledge of The Openwork Partnership or another AR network.
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills.
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Sound judgment skills based on knowledge of regulatory rules.
  • Influencing skills.
  • Professional, organized approach.
  • Effective under pressure.
  • Confident and articulate communication style with the ability to confidently influence, manage conflict effectively.
  • Strong organization skills, including both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritize on own initiative.
