We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Healthcare Science Support Worker to join our Biochemistry Department in Blood Sciences at Darent Valley Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide support to our Biomedical Scientists in maintaining a high-quality laboratory service.
Key Responsibilities- Stock control of reagents and maintaining a clean and safe environment for all staff
- Preparing and maintaining equipment, processing blood and urine samples, and performing manual testing procedures
- Entering test results onto the laboratory information system and assisting with UKAS accreditation
- Liaising with company engineers and other service users, and dealing politely and effectively with phone calls
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience of laboratory practices
- Basic knowledge of biomedical procedures, computer literacy, and good keyboard skills
- Ability to multitask, work accurately under pressure, and communicate effectively with colleagues
