As a Service Advisor, you will deliver exceptional service to the community and the organization by managing both emergency and non-emergency communications. Your responsibilities will include providing guidance and support, directing individuals to relevant information services, accurately documenting call details in appropriate systems, and determining the necessary initial police response.
Please be aware that successful candidates may be placed on a waiting list for up to 12 months before receiving a training and start date.
We provide a variety of full-time and part-time shift options. For details on available shifts, please refer to the shift pattern documentation. Note that your preferred shift may not always be guaranteed.
If you meet the shortlisting criteria, you will advance to the selection process.
The selection process consists of two components: a competency-based interview and a half-day assessment center.
The interview will evaluate candidates against the following Competency Values Framework (CVF) competencies:
Emotional Awareness Accountability Team Collaboration Delivery and Inspiration Critical Analysis Innovation and Open-MindednessThe half-day assessment center will include the following exercises:
Call Management Information Assessment and Prioritization Location Identification Numeracy and General Knowledge Assessment Audio Typing Test demonstrating a minimum typing speed of 35 words per minuteFurther details regarding this role can be found in the attached Role Profile.
Applicants must be a British citizen, a member of the EU or other EEA states, a Commonwealth citizen, or a foreign national without restrictions.
You should have resided in the UK for a minimum of three years immediately prior to applying for this position.
