About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Nursing Assistant to join our team at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. As a key member of our patient care journey, you will work collaboratively with our nursing teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the nursing team in delivering patient care, following direction from Registered Healthcare Practitioners.
  • Contribute to the efficient running of theatres, ensuring a high-quality service is delivered to patients and families.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Work flexibly across a range of day and night shifts over 7 days a week.
Requirements
  • Completed the National Care Certificate if relevant.
  • Level 3 Vocational Qualification (NVQ or Apprenticeship) in clinical healthcare.
  • Able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skill, and competency to undertake band 3 clinical skills.
  • Functional Skills Level 1 Maths and English or education equivalent.
  • Experience of working in a theatre environment, undertaking a wide range of clinical commitments.

You will also be supported to access relevant clinical skills modules to support your progression to a Band 3 post on completion.
