Job Title – Maintenance Engineer

Salary – Up to £45,000

Location – Leicester

Hours – Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Purpose of the Maintenance Engineer Role:

The Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance and repair of all machinery within our client's sites. As a key member of the engineering team, you will work closely with the Engineering Manager and other senior management to ensure the smooth operation of our client's facilities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Minimise production downtime and provide solutions to ensure business continuity.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Manager, Operations Manager, and Technical Manager to advise on and implement structural or engineering alterations to the sites.
  • Oversee all contractors working on site and maintain a safe working environment during contractual work.
  • Work with the Technical Services Manager to develop and implement engineering solutions to improve health and safety practices.
  • Be the primary point of contact for mechanical emergencies and implement a planned maintenance system.
  • Deliver training to production staff on machinery and technology requirements.
  • Update and manage the CMMS engineering report system.
  • Plan and implement preventative maintenance.
  • Assist with audits from an engineering and maintenance perspective.

Requirements:

  • A degree or NVQ qualification in an engineering discipline or 2+ years' experience in an engineering role.
  • Excellent management and people skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Able and available to conduct national and international travel.
  • Possess a full, clean UK driving license.
  • Punctual, smart, and able to convey the company culture and identity to a high standard.
  • Flexible to attend call-outs if needed.
