The Role

This position involves ensuring that all necessary resources and materials are available to fulfill program and contract obligations, effectively overseeing senior and site engineers, and possessing expertise in cost management and forecasting. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing and adhering to inspection and testing plans as well as quality assurance checklists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, protecting the company's interests, and promoting repeat business by establishing strong relationships and managing expectations regarding costs, variations, health, safety, environment, quality (HSEQ), and project timelines.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to forecast and monitor costs, ensuring that financial targets are achieved while managing project expenses within the original budget constraints.
  • Ensure effective performance management of all teams to deliver projects efficiently while maintaining HSEQ standards in accordance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Meet program requirements and contribute to updating the project schedule to align with contractual and tender specifications.
  • Work alongside the site team to ensure that appropriate resources are allocated.
  • Deliver the contractual schedule and create lookahead plans for the site teams.
  • Partner closely with the commercial team on costs, variations, and any change management processes.
  • Prepare and ensure adherence to inspection and testing plans and quality assurance checklists.

Strong HSEQ standards and experience in preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and Work Package Plans (WPPs). A valid SMSTS certification and a degree in Civil Engineering are essential, along with a minimum of five years of experience in civil engineering.

Experience in both short-term and long-term planning and programming, along with expertise in change management. A proven history of delivering projects according to specifications and drawings provided under contract, with a comprehensive understanding of program contract administration.

Additionally, a full UK driving license is required.
