Career Development Advisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Advisor to join our team at Maximus UK. As an Employment Advisor, you will play a critical role in helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and achieve their career goals.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Support: Provide personalized support to customers to help them overcome employment barriers and achieve their career goals.
- Caseload Management: Manage a caseload of customers, using a variety of coaching strategies to ensure they are prepared for interviews and job searching.
- Assessment and Planning: Undertake in-depth assessments using a suite of tools to fully understand a customer's circumstances, preferences, and holistic barriers to progression. Co-produce personalized, tailored SMART action plans with sequenced interventions and development opportunities.
- Employer Engagement: Identify the specific recruitment needs of each employer and undertake tailored pre-screens and group assessments. Co-produce effective in-work support plans with participants and employers.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure that the service continues to deliver excellent customer service.
- Compliance: Fully comply with company policies, including those for personal data security, safeguarding, and health & safety.
- Customer Focus: Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer care and a customer-focused approach.
- Team Player: Show a positive and flexible approach to work and colleagues.
- Experience: Previous experience of working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards.
- IT Literacy: Be fully IT literate in using a range of Microsoft Office programs, including 365 products and modern digital technologies.
- Communication: Demonstrate strong communication skills, including the ability to listen, question, and build relationships.
- Problem-Solving: Show demonstrable creative problem-solving skills and a positive approach to challenging and overcoming any barriers.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrate the ability to plan and organize workload to meet required targets and deadlines.
