Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Scrub Nurse to join our team at a reputable private hospital in London. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting our surgical teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and positioning of patients for surgical procedures, ensuring accurate labelling and dispatch of specimens to the laboratory.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe working environment, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Participate in induction and orientation programs for new staff, promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Prepare patients for clinical and operative procedures, both in anaesthetics and surgery.
  • Provide assistance in clinical and operative procedures, both anaesthetics and surgery.
  • Take charge of the clinical area in the absence of an advanced practitioner, ensuring patient, visitor, and staff safety.
  • Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate perioperative patient care.
  • Participate in the delegation and supervision of junior grades, unqualified, and less experienced staff.

Requirements:

  • Qualified as an RGN Nurse with a current active NMC Pin or ODP with HCPC registration.
  • Previous perioperative experience in various specialties, including Gynaecology, Urology, General, Plastics, or Kidney Transplant.
  • Ability to deliver high standards of care and knowledge of current professional nursing issues.
