Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Line Up Aviation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving process improvements and optimizing manufacturing operations to meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Lead and support waste / defect reduction activities to improve productivity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Support the development and implementation of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Manage and maintain data using a structured approach to inform process improvements
  • Lead practical problem-solving exercises with multi-functional teams
  • Develop and implement process controls and process capability based on critical manufacturing processes

Requirements:

  • Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21
  • Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject
  • BEng in relevant Engineering or Science Degree
  • Strong Manufacturing & Warehousing background
  • Awareness of supply chain goods receiving practices
  • Understanding of MRP & Just in Time principles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence teams outside of your direct reporting structure
  • The ability to form and maintain productive, working relationships across functions
  • Experience in the use & understanding of Lean manufacturing & Six sigma methodologies
  • Experience in the use & understanding of CI & Quality tools
  • Leading practical problem-solving exercises with multi-functional teams
  • The ability to produce, maintain and interpret data using a structured approach
  • Manage projects and or improvement from 'cradle to grave'
  • Experience in the use & understanding of Lean manufacturing systems tools and techniques & Minitab software
  • Having a sound understanding of manufacturing, Logistical and engineering processes
