Paralegal – Conveyancing

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Paralegal to join our team at First Base Employment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a paralegal position, specifically in conveyancing.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Assist the lead attorney with managing and advancing all sale and purchase cases within the team.
* Review contract packs and raise relevant legal queries.
* Prepare and provide advice to clients on various aspects of transactions and contract packs.
* Draft and approve legal documents under the guidance of a lawyer.
* Prepare and review accounting documentation.
* Advise on and prepare Stamp Duty Land Transaction Returns.
* Facilitate the exchange of contracts.
* Oversee the completion process.
* Supervise and mentor conveyancing assistants.
* Proactively update clients and referrers throughout the case lifecycle.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

**Requirements**

* At least 2 years of experience in a conveyancing role.
* A solid understanding of sale and purchase transactions for freehold properties.
* Strong self-motivation with the ability to organise both personal tasks and those of others effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.
