About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Account Director to join our team at air-recruitment. As a key member of our account management team, you will be responsible for leading a portfolio of clients and developing strategic marketing plans to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Leadership: Lead a portfolio of clients and develop strategic marketing plans to drive business growth.
  • Marketing Strategy: Interpret business challenges and marketing objectives of clients to design marketing strategies that deliver on commercial goals.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct customer and competitor research, develop brand and product value propositions, buyer personas, and messaging to create the strategic foundation for tactical communications plans.
  • Communication Planning: Create integrated communication plans that are targeted to the needs of the customer, applying in-depth knowledge of B2B marketing tactics.
  • Team Management: Manage and execute against tactical plans by briefing and working with our specialist public relations, paid media, content, design, and development teams to deliver high-quality results, on deadline and on budget.
  • Client Relationships: Build client relationships, manage projects, and effectively communicate expectations, plans, and results across the combined agency-client team.
Requirements
  • Experience: 10+ years of B2B integrated marketing experience, currently working at GAD level in life science, pharma, med comms agency, or another agency servicing technical sectors.
  • Background: A scientific background (e.g. BSc or PhD in a science-related subject) is desirable.
  • Commercial Management: Strong commercial management with a track record of account development/sales/new business pitching.
  • Team Management: 6.5+ years of team management & development experience.
  • B2B Strategy: Good working knowledge of B2B strategy including customer and competitor research, customer segmentation/buyer persona, messaging development, brand strategy, and tactical comms planning.
  • Service Delivery: Service delivery experience in creative (concepting/production), brand visual identity development, content marketing, paid media (social, search, trade), organic social, web design & dev, sales enablement, lead nurturing, inbound, ABM.
