We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Supervisor to join our team at Johnsons Workwear. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our transport department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our operations are running smoothly.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the loading and unloading of goods from vehicles, ensuring that all items are delivered and returned to customers on time and in accordance with our agreements.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of our vehicles and equipment, ensuring that they are in good working condition and compliant with all relevant regulations.
- Ensure that our drivers are operating in accordance with our company policies and procedures, and that they are aware of and comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Plan and optimize our routes to ensure that we are operating in the most cost-effective and efficient manner possible.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our customers, ensuring that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with our service.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of our operations, including vehicle maintenance, driver hours, and customer interactions.
- Ensure that our operations are conducted in a safe and responsible manner, and that all employees are aware of and comply with our health and safety policies and procedures.
- Recruit, train, and develop our transport team members, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their jobs effectively.
- Monitor and report on our operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
**Requirements**
- Proven experience in a transport or logistics management role.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
