About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Handy Person to join our team at Langford View Care Home. As a Handy Person, you will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep of our property estate, ensuring that our homes are well-maintained and safe for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the fabric of the building, including heating and lighting systems
  • Perform regular checks on boilers and water systems
  • Complete health and safety checks
  • Work with residents and staff to maintain the home and its surroundings

About You

We are looking for someone with experience in a similar maintenance role, with strong practical skills and the ability to work independently. You will be comfortable working in an elderly care setting and have good communication skills. A Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Facilities Services is desirable but not essential.
