Job Title: Community Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team in North East London.

About the Role

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing senior medical leadership and guidance to the team, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care to children and young people with mental health needs.

You will be expected to work directly with young people and their families, liaising with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
  • Work directly with young people and their families
  • Liaise with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals
  • Participate in the on-call rota with a 2% on-call supplement
  • Support peers and team leader while allowing them to work with their own initiative
Requirements
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
