As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to children and adolescents with mental health needs, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective treatment plans.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in child and adolescent psychiatry, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for assessing and treating patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide medical leadership to the multidisciplinary team and function as an active member of the team.
  • Assess and treat patients with mental health needs, developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective treatment outcomes.
  • Participate in on-call rota, providing 24/7 medical support to patients and families.
  • Support and supervise junior staff, promoting a culture of learning and development.
Requirements:
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • CCT or equivalent in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it.
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it.
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST.
