Job Summary:

Class 1 Personnel is seeking a skilled Yard Operative to join our team in a construction company based in the UK. As a Yard Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the yard, including inspecting, picking, and loading materials onto vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and load materials onto vehicles, with some heavy lifting involved.
  • Ensure all equipment returned from site is sorted, serviced, and stored neatly ready for re-use.
  • Perform equipment repairs and fabrication tasks.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous construction experience or labouring/physical outdoor role an advantage.
  • Forklift licence an advantage (training for the forklift is available with progression).
  • Knowledge and experience of using power tools.
  • Good level of physical fitness.
  • Strong team-player who is willing to get stuck in.
  • Problem-solving and working on own initiative.
