Job Summary

You will work within an integrated Children's Nursing team, covering both CCN and community settings. The role as a community children's nurse is highly varied, with a caseload of children with complex medical needs, long-term health conditions, and short-term health conditions requiring rapid service input to enable early discharge from hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to children with complex medical needs, long-term health conditions, and short-term health conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
  • Conduct assessments, identify needs, and provide interventions to promote health and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with children, families, and carers to ensure effective communication and care.
  • Participate in education and training to maintain professional development and stay up-to-date with best practices.
Requirements
  • NMC Child Nurse qualification at diploma or degree level.
  • Car driver, clean driving license.
  • Evidence of working within a community setting.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
