About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an IT Support Specialist. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our customers, ensuring their IT systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first and second-line technical support to customers via our helpdesk
  • Maintain and monitor backups for customers, including Windows Backup, Symantec, Shadow Protect, and Veeam
  • Perform general administration of customer networks, including creating new users, updating group membership, setting NTFS permissions, and conducting health checks
  • Deal with third-party vendors, logging hardware warranty issues and liaising with software vendors
  • Deploy software and patches, following strict helpdesk software procedures and keeping customers informed on progress
  • Maintain and configure anti-virus software
Requirements
  • A basic understanding of standard IT technologies, including desktop, firewall, networking, backup, printers, and some server work
  • A strong desire to deliver high-quality service to external customers
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
