We are seeking an experienced Assistant Shop Manager to join our team at Octavia's Askew Road shop. As a key member of our retail division, you will play a vital role in driving sales and achieving our ambitious growth plans.

About the Role

As Assistant Shop Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Shop Manager in the day-to-day running of the shop, including displaying donated stock in a visually appealing manner to create a high-end shop feel and help maximise sales. You will also be expected to achieve agreed sales targets, step up as Shop Manager when required, and attend meetings and take on necessary management duties.

  • Report any maintenance matters promptly to the shop manager or Retail department
Requirements

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Shop Manager or retail assistant with strong commercial acumen, who understands what is needed to make a charity shop profitable. You will have a background in charity retail or high street retail, with a minimum of two years' experience in a retail environment.

You will be a creative and motivated individual with a passion for visual merchandising and customer journey. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

We offer a competitive salary of £22,842 per annum, plus fantastic benefits including up to 10% pension contributions and the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative team. Our shops are open Monday to Sunday, and you will share the responsibility of opening your shop with your Shop Manager.
