Role Overview:
This position presents a unique opportunity for registered nurses to engage in high-quality telephone assessments while providing Clinical Supervision to a diverse, multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Function as an independent practitioner, delivering comprehensive telephone triage and clinical assessments to patients and their families, ensuring safe and effective clinical decisions.
- Offer real-time clinical guidance to NHS 24 frontline personnel, fostering safe, appropriate, and patient-centered outcomes.
- Facilitate accurate healthcare information and self-care advice, ensuring referrals are made to the correct level and location of care to meet the holistic needs of patients and their caregivers.
- Utilize various models to provide clinical supervision to non-clinical staff, enhancing their professional development.
Candidate Profile:
- Registered as an Adult Nurse on Part 1 of the NMC register.
- Demonstrated clinical decision-making abilities, with a strong capacity for continuous clinical supervision and leadership.
- Extensive post-registration experience in acute or primary care settings, with a broad knowledge base across multiple specialties.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
NHS 24 offers a competitive total reward package, including a permanent contract on Band 6, with a salary range of £37,831 - £46,100 (pro rata for part-time hours). Salary placement is contingent upon prior relevant NHS service.
