About the Role:

We are working with a leading food industry company to assist with their recruitment of a Lead Maintenance Engineer.

This role will be working on a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern consisting of 2 days and 2 nights.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and Manage a Team: Organize and lead a team of multiskilled engineers to maximize their performance and focus on departmental KPIs.
  2. Electrical and Mechanical Systems: Monitor and maintain electrical and mechanical systems, allocating and carrying out work orders to repair and maintain plant and equipment.
  3. Improvement and Innovation: Identify and communicate improvements to machines and processes to increase overall equipment effectiveness, in line with company quality and safety standards.
  4. PPM Work Schedules: Organize and allocate PPM work schedules to the engineering teams.
  5. Contractor Management: Manage and supervise contractors and subcontract labor.
  6. Reporting and Compliance: Comply with accurate shift reports, with feedback on planned and unplanned works, handovers, and other relevant information.
  7. Training and Development: Carry out team PAM reviews and identify PDP training needs of the electrical and mechanical engineers.
Requirements:
  1. Craft Apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  2. City & Guilds Electrical/Mechanical Level 3
  3. At least 5 years working in a maintenance/engineering department (desirable)
  4. Knowledge of Health & Safety/Food Safety Best Practice (desirable)
