Job Title: Data Architect for Payment Processing Systems

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our team at Global Processing Services. As a key member of our data architecture team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing data models to support our payment processing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support different domains of payment processing systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and ensure data integrity and optimization.
  • Develop data flow diagrams and entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs) to represent data structures and relationships.
  • Work with data engineers to implement data validation and cleansing processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Optimize database performance to handle high volumes of transactions efficiently.
  • Document data models, data dictionaries, and metadata for transparency and ease of use.
  • Provide clear and concise communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders regarding data architecture and design decisions.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Data Architect in the payments industry, particularly with issuer processors.
  • Strong understanding of payment processing systems, customer account management, and related financial services.
  • Proficiency in data modelling tools such as ERwin, PowerDesigner, or similar.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, ELT processes, and modern data architecture (lakehouse).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and security standards in the financial industry.
