Location: Chippenham

This position involves joining a skilled team as a Field Manager, tasked with driving the growth and profitability of the After Sales and Hire division in the Southern UK. You will operate from Chippenham, overseeing a small team of Field Service Technicians to ensure seamless operations across the Southern region, taking on a senior role with significant responsibilities.

If you are a motivated individual holding a HNC level or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, coupled with a commercial outlook, this opportunity could be ideal for you. Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote the company's offerings to both new and existing clients to facilitate sales of new equipment and installations.
  • Identify potential customers and business opportunities to boost sales of equipment, spare parts, and hire services.
  • Conduct inspections of machinery at client sites, providing service inspection reports, and generating quotations and service proposals.
  • Follow up on quotations to convert them into actual sales.
  • Advise clients on the most suitable products to meet their requirements.
  • Coordinate resources with the Contracts Engineer and Installation Supervisor for service, installations, and commissioning in the region.
  • Oversee the Regional Installation Supervisor to ensure timely installation delivery.
  • Develop the regional business strategy in collaboration with the Field Operations Manager.
  • Ensure sustainable regional activities and budgetary oversight for the growth and delivery of After Sales services.
  • Collaborate with other Regional Field Managers to optimize resource allocation across operational regions.

Candidate Profile:

  • Background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in managing a team of Engineers.
  • Previous experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or maintenance environment.
