Position Overview
The Classroom Support Specialist will play a crucial role at Utah State University, providing assistance in an educational setting. This position involves flexible hours, scheduled based on the needs of the interactive video conference (IVC) classes, typically falling between 7:30 AM and 10:45 PM, Monday through Friday. The role allows for up to 19 hours of work per week, adapting to the semester's requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The Classroom Support Specialist will undertake various tasks to enhance the learning experience:
- Facilitating the operation of classroom technology essential for IVC classes.
- Upholding the confidentiality of student and colleague information.
- Exhibiting professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Managing the distribution and collection of classroom materials, as well as proctoring assessments while ensuring a conducive learning atmosphere.
- Maintaining accurate attendance records and documentation of classroom materials.
- Acting as a liaison among students, university instructors, and administrative staff.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
