About the Role
iO Associates is partnering with a dynamic client located in Buckinghamshire. Our client is seeking a Technical Solutions Consultant (IP Networking) to enhance their growing team. The ideal candidate will oversee the technical liaison among engineering, sales, and clients. You will craft customer-centric solutions, showcase the product suite, and assist the sales team throughout the sales process, ensuring a smooth transition to project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-sales technical assistance to team members and clients.
  • Lead the technical evaluation and response to RFP/RFI submissions.
  • Draft technical specifications and provide suitable recommendations.
  • Participate in client meetings to conduct technical presentations.
  • Design networking, security, and managed service offerings.
  • Oversee bid submissions, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Collaborate on product innovation and service enhancement.
  • Validate and approve solution designs and associated costs.
  • Drive business expansion by shaping sales strategies.
  • Educate and mentor team members and clients.
  • Maintain robust relationships with key clients.
  • Attend industry trade shows and events.
  • Engage in the technical transition of sales to project teams.
  • Complete necessary training and uphold professional certifications.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Essential:

  • Thorough understanding of mobile technologies (5G/4G/LPWAN, Private and Public APN).
  • Background in Networking & Security (CCNA or equivalent; CCNP preferred).
  • Experience with enterprise mobile, LAN and WAN, wireless, and firewall technologies.
  • Expertise in routing, switching, and security technologies.
  • Experience in both low and high-level design, technical pre-sales, and project life cycles.
  • Familiarity with security solutions, access protocols, and tunneling protocols.
  • Linux proficiency.
  • WLAN design and configuration capabilities.
  • ITIL Foundation (desirable).

Desirable:

  • Experience in MSP/ISP environments.
  • Familiarity with security solutions such as Cisco or WatchGuard.
  • Knowledge of 802.1x & RADIUS.

Demonstrable Experience

  • Ability to analyze competition and distinguish our offerings.
  • Clear comprehension of technical solutions and their business impact.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and client-facing skills.
  • Adaptability to change and promotion of innovation.
  • Strong business insight.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in technical networking design and implementation.
