This is an exciting phase for our organization, and we are looking for a committed and skilled individual to join our team as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. This crucial position assists the Designated Safeguarding Lead in fostering a secure and supportive environment for all students.


Key Responsibilities:

The primary objective of this role is to assist the Designated Safeguarding Lead by assessing and addressing all safeguarding and child protection issues that arise within the organization, while also supporting staff in managing any child protection concerns.


The Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead will be accountable for mandatory documentation, reporting, and responding to all safeguarding matters, effectively cultivating a culture of safety in accordance with the latest national guidelines.

This role will report directly to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.


The Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead will participate in meetings for identified students, advocate for the organization's perspectives, and collaborate with both internal and external professionals in line with safeguarding protocols.


Additionally, this role will involve training staff across the organization and upholding the principles outlined in the document 'Keeping Children Safe in Education', ensuring prompt responses to any updates or changes to this document.


The Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead will also be responsible for reporting on complex cases, particularly those involving CAMHS, Team around the Family, or families receiving Social Care support.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead will prepare reports on complex cases and ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed.
