Compensation:
£54,793 – £60,326 based on experience

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct independent airworthiness assurance activities related to design certification (qualification and safety) evidence to support airworthiness certification for Development, Production, and Export clearance programs.
Act as the airworthiness focal point for negotiating flight limitations with System Design Responsibility teams, Flight Operations, and external clients.
Develop and issue Flight Certification (Military Permit to Fly) for Development and Production Aircraft.
Generate and issue Flight Certification (Release to Service) for Export Clients.
Facilitate ongoing enhancement of BAE Systems and flight certification and design certification methodologies.
Represent Airworthiness at project meetings for Typhoon/Tornado/Hawk/FCAS, including support for external client meetings.
Engage with Customers and senior Stakeholders on Airworthiness & Delivery issues (both internal and external).
Delegate tasks to qualified and experienced team members and may have responsibilities related to personnel development (PDR, career growth plans, aspirations, etc.).

Required Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of Aircraft Avionic / Mechanical systems design / Aerodynamic disciplines.
Significant experience with design configuration control processes.
Familiarity with design certification (qualification and safety) and airworthiness protocols.
Experience in aircraft operations within a large organization (preferred).
Analytical techniques to support the establishment of integrated aircraft level flight limitations.

About the Initial Airworthiness Delivery Team:


The Initial Airworthiness Delivery team is responsible for current and future aircraft development, production, and delivery tasks, ensuring the type airworthiness of the product and its release to service for all global customers.

The team also manages continued Airworthiness, including defect and accident investigations, ensuring the safe operation of the fleets throughout their lifecycle.
