Job Title: Specialist Mental Health Personal Advisor

Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Mental Health Personal Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work full-time in Richmond & Wandsworth, providing essential support to Care Experienced young people.

Job Summary:

The Specialist Mental Health Personal Advisor will work closely with Care Coordinators and adults' social care social workers to provide assessments and reports. This role requires a Social Work Qualification or equivalent and involves working with a range of professionals to strengthen and support the Mental Health and wellbeing of Care Experienced young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assessments and reports as required, working closely with Care Coordinators and adults' social care social workers.
  • Work alongside other professionals to undertake Pathway Planning, assessments, tasks, and interventions to support the Mental Health and wellbeing of Care Experienced young people.
  • Act as a Lead Practitioner within the team for Mental Health, disseminating good practice and engaging in Team Meetings to present information and advice.
  • Establish and develop collaborative working with allied health and social care practitioners from adults' services, as well as partners in Housing, DWP, and Community organisations.
  • Develop a good understanding of evidence-based practice and integrate models of best practice into day-to-day service delivery.
  • Participate positively in professional supervision and annual appraisal review, taking personal responsibility for the quality of practice.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and clinical risk assessing, and liaising with mental health services across different boroughs/areas.
  • Build professional credibility within the multi-professional partnership by achieving practice standards and meeting performance targets consistently.
  • Actively contribute to team working, supporting colleagues, covering for colleagues in their absence, and taking part in team meetings and development events.
  • Consider and put forward ideas for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of Council Services to children and families.
  • Understand both Council's duties and responsibilities for safeguarding children, young people, and adults as they apply to the role within the council.
