We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Graduate Engineering Estimator. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of projects.

Your primary responsibility will be to interpret customer needs and provide accurate project-specific solutions. You will work closely with external sales and internal colleagues to ensure that all projects are completed to the highest standard.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure commercial quotations and technical submissions are completed on time.
  • Identify and process special or QA product requirements and support the wider operations team's technical needs.
  • Update and take ownership of project folders.
  • Ensure that all key information is obtained at the enquiry stage to offer the best suitable solution to the client.
  • Ensure that designs produced are compliant with current legislation.
  • Support customers and colleagues in the timely resolution of technical enquiries, escalating queries that cannot be resolved.
  • Provide excellent customer service to colleagues and customers alike.
  • Provide technical support to the external sales team.

Requirements:
  • Good commercial awareness and an understanding of engineering principles, contractual principles, and methods of working.
  • Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Positive personality with a desire to continually develop and progress.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and willingness to learn business-specific software systems.
  • A mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering qualification (e.g., HNC/HND or equivalent) or a mathematical or science-based advanced qualification.
  • Experience of interpreting information of a technical nature, ideally specifications and drawings.
