About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Benefits team as an Assessment Officer (Benefits). The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing claims for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction, working closely with customers and official bodies to ensure accurate and timely processing of claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing claims for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction
- Examining Benefit claim forms and documents
- Corresponding with official bodies
- Providing excellent customer service and communication skills
- Working collaboratively with the Benefits team to achieve team goals
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 GCSE / O level passes (Grade A – C) including English language and Mathematics or equivalent
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Working Arrangements
