Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CAD/CAM Designer to join our team at Retail Furniture Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for reviewing customer data, performing design rule checks, and creating manufacturing data and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Import customer data into various CAM systems and perform design rule checks to ensure compliance with manufacturing guidelines.
  • Create array configurations, route, and test programs, as well as output data for production use.
  • Work with process management to evaluate and provide strategy for advanced processing as needed.
  • Itemise and correspond to design issues with account management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Organisational Relationship

This role reports to the Production and Machine Shop Management and coordinates activities with all departments, especially manufacturing.

Qualifications
  • A university degree or 5 years' experience in furniture construction manufacturing and CAD/CAM tooling software is ideal.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people are essential.
Physical Demands

This role requires regular use of the telephone and email for communication, as well as sitting for extended periods. Hearing and vision within normal ranges are helpful for normal conversations and to prepare documents.
