Osborne Richardson is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Building Control Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our Building Control department, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with building regulations and providing expert advice to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert compliance advice to clients, including validation of applications and assessment of fees
- Investigate and enforce compliance matters and complaints, ensuring accurate records are maintained
- Manage the validation of applications and assessment of fees, as well as planning assessment and site inspection services
- Deal with complex Building Regulation cases and provide support and guidance to less experienced colleagues
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
Requirements:
- Proven experience working in a building control service within a Local Authority setting
- Registration as a Class 2 F Building Control Inspector
- Strong understanding of Building Control processes and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
