Building Control Professional

About the Role:
Central Bedfordshire Council is seeking an experienced Building Control professional to join our team and contribute to the delivery of safe and compliant buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Building Control processes and experience in managing the delivery of a service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a range of building control duties to deal with varied projects in urban and rural locations.
- Work closely with colleagues, team members, regulatory partners, and applicants to ensure regulatory compliance, enforcement, and all aspects of Building Regulations.
- Develop and implement effective building control strategies to ensure the Council's Building Control duties are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues, stakeholders, and applicants on building control matters.
Requirements:
- Degree (or equivalent qualification and experience) in Building Control Surveying or a related subject.
- Strong communication skills and experience of working on a range of projects.
- Ability to work in a hybrid working environment with a blend of local office hubs, site work, and home working.
