About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with individuals in the community to provide assessment and treatment for mental health conditions.

Your primary responsibility will be to manage your own caseload, providing short interventions to support recovery and promote well-being. You will also be involved in group work, assisting with memory assessments at the Devon Memory Service, and escorting patients to receive ECT.

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will be expected to undertake training specific to working within the NHS and participate in regular supervision. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage your own caseload, providing short interventions to support recovery and promote well-being.
  • Participate in group work, assisting with memory assessments at the Devon Memory Service.
  • Escort patients to receive ECT.
  • Undertake training specific to working within the NHS.
  • Participate in regular supervision.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and support for our clients.
Requirements
  • Basic Education.
  • QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous employment/experience of working with people in a caring situation or previous experience working in a different role within mental health services.
  • Previous care experience with people who have Mental Health difficulties.
