Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Learning: Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, schemes of work, and learning resources that meet the needs of our students.
  • Behaviour Management: Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and developing targeted interventions to support student achievement.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and expertise, and communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills, knowledge, and practice, and contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and policies.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: QTS or equivalent, with a strong understanding of the National Curriculum of Wales and its application.
  • Experience: Proven experience of working with students with emotional and behavioural difficulties, and a track record of successful behaviour management and student achievement.
  • Skills: Excellent teaching and behaviour management skills, with the ability to adapt to the needs of individual students and the school as a whole.
  • Knowledge: A strong understanding of child development, learning theories, and behaviour management strategies, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: £27,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
  • Full-Time Contract: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
