About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Manager to lead our Managed Services Team at System C, a leading health and social care software provider. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and support of our enterprise infrastructure, ensuring seamless service uptime and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of specialist engineers in infrastructure and cloud technologies.
  • Oversee the Technical Service Desk, ensuring high service uptime and satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the Managed Services Roadmap, aligning it with business goals.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative atmosphere within the Managed Services Department.
  • Drive continuous service improvement and efficiency initiatives.
  • Manage supplier relationships, purchasing, and compliance.
  • Ensure the department is always audit-ready and aligned with company policies.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a team lead/manager role or 5 years in a senior technical position.
  • Extensive experience in enterprise infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, virtualisation, and Microsoft technologies.
  • Proven ability to manage resources and lead teams in high-pressure scenarios, such as Priority 1 incidents.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent extensive experience.
Desirable Skills
  • Management qualifications or technical certifications.
  • Experience working within a DevOps environment.
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based methodologies and change management.
