ABMI, a leading engineering consulting firm, is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our nuclear operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our clients' nuclear facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain safety cases to support normal operations and fault scenarios.
- Provide technical leadership in resolving challenging issues related to nuclear operations.
- Define and deliver safety case requirements to ensure compliance within a regulated environment.
- Provide safety justifications to support modifications and ensure that all work is delivered to the highest technical standards.
- Manage small to medium-sized projects as a project or technical lead, ensuring that all work is delivered within budget and to the agreed programme.
- A degree or equivalent in engineering, science, or a related field of study.
- Previous experience working within the nuclear industry.
- Understanding of the safety case production process and methodologies.
- Familiarity with areas such as decommissioning, optioneering, best practice, human factors, radioactive materials transport, licensing/de-licensing, and radioactive waste.
- A permanent contract with a competitive salary.
