Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our dedicated team at Kingston College. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to the college premises, ensuring that only authorized personnel and visitors are allowed entry.
- Conduct regular security patrols of the campus, identifying and reporting any potential security risks or hazards.
- Operate and maintain CCTV systems, responding promptly to any security incidents or alarms.
- Assist with the investigation of security incidents, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses as necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors, responding to their queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
- Hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor license.
- Have experience in a security or related role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Hold a valid First Aid at Work Certificate.
Working Hours:
The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. A flexible approach to working hours is essential, as the college operates a 24/7 security service.
