Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Headway Adolescent Resources. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting our Team Leaders and Residential Support Workers in providing high-quality care and support to young people in our residential services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Team Leaders and Residential Support Workers to ensure the delivery of excellent care and support to young people.
  • Develop and implement effective policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of our residential services.
  • Work closely with our Senior Management Team to achieve our organizational goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our quality assurance and improvement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of working in a residential childcare setting, preferably in a management or leadership role.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with young people, staff, and external partners.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including sleep-in shifts, and be available on call as required.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, including Ofsted and CQC requirements.
