Position Overview:
Are you experienced in educating young individuals facing mental health challenges?

Five Education Recruitment Limited is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Specialist Teacher in English and Humanities for a unique educational environment tailored for students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.

About the Role:
This position is within a specialist Alternative Provision school located in a supportive community. The students often deal with SEMH difficulties, including depression and social anxiety, and some may have encountered Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a comprehensive Humanities and English curriculum.
- Provide one-on-one support in class and adapt tasks to meet diverse learning needs.
- Facilitate access to the curriculum by understanding and addressing individual learning requirements.
- Create an engaging and enjoyable learning atmosphere.
- Assist students in managing their emotions and maintaining focus during lessons.

Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of references, including one from a role involving children or vulnerable adults (recent experience required).
- Valid DBS/Police checks.
- Availability to work five days a week.
- Proven experience in teaching or working with children with SEND/SEMH.
- Evidence of a teaching qualification or progress towards one.

The work schedule consists of 7 hours per day, including an unpaid lunch break.
Your daily compensation would start at £120.00*, with opportunities for increased earnings based on experience.

*This amount includes holiday pay.
