Main Purpose of the Role

The Service Department at Universal Maintenance Contracts Ltd T/A UMC is seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join their team at Head Office in Ferndown. As a key member of the Service Team, you will report directly to the Operations Manager and be responsible for delivering an effective service programme nationwide.

The role involves frequent travel and staying away from home, with a focus on maintenance and repairs to various Split, Multi, VRV, and AHU systems in high street retail, commercial, and domestic environments. You will also be required to support the team's work in carrying out planned installations for our extensive client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repairs of various HVAC systems in a range of environments.
  • Manage your own workload, completing assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues, clients, and other contractors.
  • Minimize financial and resource wastage, paying particular attention to recalls and overtime.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety and other statutory legislation.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure a positive working relationship.
  • Represent the best interests of UMC at all times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £22,500.00 per year
