Sembcorp Industries Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Senior Settlements Analyst to join our SEUK Back Office team. As a key member of our finance function, you will play a critical role in supporting our trading, commercial, and wider finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and perform daily, weekly, and monthly back office settlement tasks, working closely with internal commercial/trading teams and external customers and suppliers.
  • Lead and perform all time-critical invoicing tasks, proactively resolving outstanding netting and invoicing issues in accordance with established escalation processes.
  • Provide essential support for gas shipping, power supply, and ancillary services portfolios.
  • Liaise with external counterparties and network operators to reconcile trades, meter data, and flows.
  • Collaborate with National Grid to resolve queries and disputes as required.
  • Report month-end accruals to assist the finance team with the month-end close reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, as advised by the compliance team.
  • Utilize external trading and invoicing systems, continually improving team processes and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain team processes and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform risk control and compliance duties to prevent financial exposure.
  • Support the training and development of other settlement analysts, serving as the team's subject matter expert for settlement disputes and internal change projects.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an operational and settlements support team, preferably in the UK power and gas supply industry.
  • Proven people management skills and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with applied Excel is desired.
  • Knowledge of the UK power and gas wholesale markets would be beneficial.
  • A full UK driving license is required.
  • Right to work in the UK is essential.
