Russell Tobin is seeking a highly skilled Vendor Management Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our in-house legal team, you will be responsible for vendor management and due diligence from a compliance and legal perspective, for the firm globally.
Key Responsibilities- Vendor Management: Manage the Legal Due Diligence (LDD) team effectively, provide direction, and make final decisions on projects and day-to-day/vendor due diligence questions.
- Project Management: Oversee all LDD projects internal to the team as well as any we are involved with for the wider firm.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Have a strong understanding of legal due diligence for this global firm, including awareness of cybersecurity and data privacy due diligence topics with regards to vendors.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Act as key contact for the firm for all vendor-related matters, collaborating across the firm with stakeholders and team leads on various projects.
- Process Improvement: Learn our process well and improve how our process is linked to other teams within the firm, making improvements and adaptations to the process where necessary.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor and manage progress on team workload and backlog tasks, providing metrics, updates, and presentations when required.
- Vendor Management and Sanctions: Manage third-party vendors, respond to inquiries, and manage any issues, including awareness of the risk of Sanctions in our due diligence process.
- LLB Qualified or Similar Strong Academics: LLB qualified or similar strong academics.
- Relevant Experience: Relevant experience working within a law firm environment preferred.
- Excellent Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Legal and Commercial Risks: Solid knowledge of legal and commercial risks that would affect the business if we were associated with a company that is non-compliant with our standards.
- Ability to Identify Risks and Consult with Attorneys: Ability to identify those risks and red flags and consult with attorneys on the legal team on next steps.
- Decision-Making and Communication: Ability to make decisions confidently for the team based on that legal knowledge, and communicate effectively with team members, firmwide staff, and key stakeholders.
- Productivity and Multitasking: Achieves a high level of productivity, multitasks in a fast-paced environment with competing demands, meets assigned deadlines, and develops strong working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
