Job Title: Regulatory Affairs Specialist

Job Description:

We are excited to partner with a growing European, renewable energy production company as they look to bring in a Compliance & ESG Officer to ensure the firm meets its internal and external compliance obligations across all activities and in all regions where they operate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the company's compliance-related risk, identifying and prioritizing which obligations require the most immediate attention;
  • Build out a Compliance framework for the business, focusing on high-risk areas;
  • Identify compliance requirements, such as GDPR, EMIR, KYC and ensure the following of these regulations for corporations operating in the jurisdictions the firm operates within;
  • Work with HR to develop business-wide training on relevant regulatory obligations;
  • Lead on ESG reporting requirements from financial institutions the business has relationships with;
  • Experience in managing a compliance function, ideally within a power generation firm, and the regulations affecting firms in this space;
  • Prior experience of reporting to regulatory bodies;
  • Have structured and developed ESG frameworks and policies associated with ESG;
  • Submitted ESG reports to financial institutions;
  • Ability to speak Dutch or German would be a distinct advantage.
