Job Overview:

Kenna Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to manage the design aspects of tenders and live projects within our Hertfordshire Business. This position is project & office based with the flexibility to work from home on occasion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Process Management: Manage the design process through the RIBA design stages, ensuring completion and compliance of design management departmental procedures at bid and delivery stages.
  • Design Strategy and Approach: Involvement with 'design strategy' and approach, ensuring a fully coordinated design strategy is in place and work closely with discipline lead designers to deliver coordinated design solutions.
  • Design Reviews and Coordination: Programme and manage all design reviews and coordination meetings, establishing the need for and input into design reviews.
  • Commercial and Construction Requirements: Ensure that design is developed in line with commercial and construction requirements and the cost plan budget allowance.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience working with main contractors, experience working on multiple disciplines: Education, Healthcare or Life Sciences.
  • Education: Degree educated or HND / HNC or CIOB (advantageous).
  • Skills: Experience on both single stage and two stage tenders, right to work in the UK.
