Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop Bacalhau's core components, optimizing for scalability, fault tolerance, and global performance.
  • Develop data replication and partition tolerance strategies to ensure data integrity in a distributed environment.
  • Implement comprehensive monitoring and debugging systems for large-scale deployments.
  • Optimize network communication and data flow for high-throughput, low-latency operations.
  • Engage with the open-source community to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement of Bacalhau's capabilities.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Go or similar systems programming languages, with a focus on concurrent and parallel programming.
  • Strong background in developing and operating scalable databases, message queues, or distributed file systems.
  • Experience with distributed tracing, monitoring, and observability tools for large-scale systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their distributed computing offerings.
  • Knowledge of network protocols and optimizations for distributed systems.
