Morson Technical Services is currently in search of an Aircraft Wildcat Base Maintenance Supervisor to join our team on a permanent basis.


ABOUT THE ROLE


Our Wildcat Base Maintenance division is responsible for conducting 300-hour zonal maintenance on a fleet of Army and Navy Wildcat Helicopters. Over a structured 17-week program, our teams meticulously strip, clean, inspect, and rectify aircraft to ensure they are ready for deployment to front-line squadrons.

Our skilled engineers operate on a day shift, engaging in fault diagnosis and component replacement as necessary, along with conducting ground runs of the aircraft prior to their return to service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Hold authorizations to the minimum level required by WMS, including second signature within your trade group as outlined in OP 1103 and in accordance with individual Record of Engineering Authorisations (REA).
  • Maintain technical currency and authorizations through ongoing training and by reviewing disseminated information.
  • Perform aircraft maintenance tasks as assigned by the Controllers, adhering to published Procedures and Instructions.
  • Complete GOLDesp procedures in line with Wildcat Maintenance Support WMS OP 408 and JAP(D) 100A series of publications.
  • Observe authorized tool control procedures (WMS OP 502) during maintenance work on aircraft and associated bay work.
  • Supervise Technicians and Apprentices.
  • Operate and maintain AGE and Hangar facilities as directed.
  • Prepare aircraft for road or air transportation as needed.
  • Participate in exercise detachments and aircraft recovery operations as required.
  • Conduct independent inspections where authorized, in accordance with MAM-P and individual REA.
  • Perform any other aircraft or aircraft support-related tasks as directed by the appropriate Manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Completion of an aeronautical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent Service Trade Training.
  • Meet the criteria specified in WMS OP 1103 para 6.2 & Figure 1.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of UK Military Aircraft documentation procedures.
  • Current and proficient in the use of GOLDesp.
