Aircraft Maintenance Team Leader

Morson Technical Services is currently in search of an Aircraft Wildcat Base Maintenance Supervisor to join our dedicated team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Wildcat Base Maintenance division is responsible for executing 300-hour zonal maintenance on a fleet of Army and Navy Wildcat Helicopters. Over a structured 17-week program, our teams meticulously strip, clean, inspect, and rectify aircraft to ensure they are ready for frontline operations.
Our skilled engineers follow a day shift routine, engaging in fault diagnosis and component replacement as necessary, followed by ground running of the aircraft prior to their deployment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hold authorizations to the minimum level required by WMS, including second signature within your trade group as specified in OP 1103.
- Maintain technical proficiency and authorizations through ongoing training and review of disseminated information.
- Conduct aircraft maintenance as assigned by Controllers, adhering to established Procedures and Instructions.
- Complete GOLDesp procedures in accordance with Wildcat Maintenance Support WMS OP 408 and JAP(D) 100A series publications.
- Follow authorized tool control procedures during maintenance tasks on aircraft and associated work.
- Supervise Technicians and Apprentices effectively.
- Manage the operation and maintenance of AGE and Hangar facilities as directed.
- Prepare aircraft for transportation by road or air as necessary.
- Participate in exercise detachments and aircraft recovery operations as required.
- Conduct independent inspections where authorized, in line with MAM-P and individual REA.
- Perform any other aircraft or support-related tasks as directed by management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Completion of an aeronautical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent Service Trade Training.
- Fulfillment of criteria specified in WMS OP 1103 para 6.2 & Figure 1.
- Thorough understanding of UK Military Aircraft documentation procedures.
- Current proficiency in the use of GOLDesp.
PACKAGE AND BENEFITS
Starting salary of £38,454.00, increasing to £40,184.43 upon successful completion of the probationary period.
Potential banding allowance of £1,000 per annum for holding additional authorizations.
Discretionary bonus based on team KPI achievements, amounting to £155 quarterly / £620 annually.
Generous holiday entitlement of 5 weeks (25 days) per year, increasing to 26 days after 5 years of service, plus bank holidays.
