About The Learning Experience #398

We are a cutting-edge biotechnology company dedicated to harnessing the power of deep learning to revolutionize the discovery of new drugs. Our innovative approach involves applying advanced computational methods to antibody repertoire data, and we are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team.

The Role

The Data Scientist will play a foundational role in building our platform, working closely with our scientific team to establish standards and practices. This individual will be responsible for building core components of our end-to-end data pipeline, including patient stratification and management, analysis and visualization of large-scale omics data. They will also work collaboratively with our team to support target identification and contribute to the growth and development of our technology platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-depth analysis of human disease datasets, including large-scale omics datasets such as antibody/B cell receptor sequencing, RNAseq, and single-cell sequencing.
  • Develop and implement computational models to stratify patient groups, evaluate antibody repertoires, and enable data-driven target discovery.
  • Collaborate with the team to build and maintain a secure data pipeline, ensuring seamless integration and analysis of diverse high-dimensional omics data sets.
  • Provide expert advice on and support activities to functionally validate targets using in silico approaches, such as FGWAS and GWAS.
  • Work closely with our scientific leadership team to help build our platform and team, driving innovation and growth.
Requirements
  • A PhD in computer science, bioinformatics, or a related discipline, or a master's degree in exceptional cases.
  • Proven experience working with large-scale genomic or functional genomic datasets.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R programming languages.
  • Mastery in integrating and analyzing diverse high-dimensional omics data sets relevant to immunology, oncology, neuroscience, or other therapeutically relevant fields.
  • Experience in building infrastructure for large-scale data analysis and storage.
  • A strong ambition to work with our team to build a transformative company.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in working with AIRR-seq data.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience.
  • A pre-existing network of external scientific contacts relevant to our company.
  • Evidence of contribution to and influence of the strategic scientific direction of a large group.
