This Primary school in Redhill is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Learning Support Assistant (SEN TA) to support children aged 4-11 with mild to severe learning difficulties.

The Special Needs Teaching Assistant role is an excellent opportunity to gain relevant experience, expand your knowledge and skillset, and work closely with other professionals in a challenging yet rewarding setting.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing consistency and equipping children and young people with the tools to feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe in their ability to succeed in life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering the learning experience of students
  • Provide behaviour and pastoral support
  • Build robust and effective relationships with students
  • Implement a practical approach to meet the individual needs of students
  • Utilize excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Display a caring, compassionate, and good listener attitude
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups with students
  • Ensure the safeguarding of students
